One U.S. law firm, clients around the world

U.S. immigration law is federal. An attorney admitted to practice in any U.S. jurisdiction may represent you before USCIS, the Department of State, U.S. consulates and the immigration courts no matter where you live (8 CFR 292.1). That is how we represent families, professionals, investors and companies from Türkiye and many other countries, as well as clients in every U.S. state.

Our work starts where your plans start: a job offer, a business you want to open, a spouse or fiancé(e) in the United States, a research career, a refusal you need to overcome, or a dispute that ended up in a U.S. court.

Nationality-specific rules we watch for you

Where you were born and which passport you hold can change your options. Treaty investor (E-2) eligibility depends on nationality; Türkiye and Sweden, for example, are treaty countries. Nationals of some countries are also subject to U.S. travel and visa restrictions that change frequently. Dual citizens should tell us about every nationality they hold, because a second passport can open a path the first one closes.

Turkish-speaking clients

Serving the Turkish-speaking community is at the heart of our practice. Turkish-language guidance is available across our site, including Amerika’da Türk Avukat, ABD Göçmenlik Avukatı and Amerika’da Şirket Kurma.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clients Outside the U.S.: Frequently Asked Questions

Can a U.S. immigration lawyer represent me if I live outside the United States?

Yes. Immigration law is federal, and a U.S.-licensed attorney can represent you before USCIS, the Department of State and U.S. consulates wherever you live. Most of our work with clients abroad is done by video, secure upload and electronic signature.

Do I need to travel to Bethesda to meet you?

No. You are welcome at our Bethesda office, but consultations and most case work take place by video and online.

Which languages do you work in?

Consultations are available in English, Turkish, Spanish and Swedish. We arrange qualified interpreters for other languages, including Persian (Farsi), Arabic, Russian, French, German and Chinese.

Can you help me open a U.S. company from abroad?

Yes. We form U.S. companies for non-residents, prepare governing documents, help with EIN and ITIN applications, and connect the business plan with investor or intracompany visa options when relevant.

My visa was refused. Can you help?

Often. We review the reason for the refusal, such as 214(b) or 221(g) administrative processing, and advise whether to reapply, submit more evidence or pursue a different visa category.

Are some nationalities subject to special restrictions?

Yes. U.S. travel and visa restrictions currently affect nationals of certain countries, and they change frequently. We check the rules that apply to your nationality and any second citizenship before recommending a strategy.
