Moving people across borders rarely involves only one country. Global immigration services at Ozek Law Firm, LLC give families, professionals, investors and companies one legal team and one point of contact for U.S. immigration matters and the cross-border steps around them, by video, in English, Turkish, Spanish or Swedish.
International moves usually involve several systems at once: U.S. immigration agencies, a U.S. consulate, civil registries in the home country, and sometimes a foreign court, tax office or immigration authority. The hardest part is often keeping everyone aligned. Our model is built to solve that.
Ozek Law Firm attorneys are admitted in Maryland, New York and the District of Columbia. California matters are handled with California-licensed co-counsel. Immigration law is federal, so we represent immigration clients across the U.S. and worldwide.
Serving Turkish-speaking clients is at the core of our practice. Our founder, Tolga Ozek, holds an LL.B. with honors from Bilkent University and an LL.M. from Duke University School of Law. Attorney E. Gizem Ersahin is admitted to the New York Bar and is also a member of the Istanbul Bar in Türkiye, which gives our team first-hand familiarity with Turkish documents, institutions and business practice. Where a matter requires representation before Turkish authorities, we work with licensed Turkish counsel as described above. See our Türkiye and U.S. immigration guide for details.
Every matter is different, so we give a fee quote at consultation once we understand the scope. We do not promise government processing times or outcomes.
Which passport you hold can change your U.S. options. Treaty investor (E-2) eligibility depends on nationality: the investor must be a national of a treaty country, and at least 50 percent of the business must be owned by treaty nationals. Türkiye and Sweden, for example, are both E-2 treaty countries. The Department of State’s guidance says that a dual national owner must choose which nationality to use for E visa purposes.
A second citizenship can also affect visa waiver eligibility, travel restrictions that apply to certain nationalities, and the documents a consulate will require. Tell us about every nationality you hold, including one acquired by descent, so that we can compare routes. If you are considering a second citizenship for U.S. planning, we review the U.S. immigration consequences; questions about the other country’s citizenship law go to counsel licensed there, and tax questions go to a qualified tax adviser.

It can. E-2 treaty investor eligibility depends on nationality, and dual nationals must choose which nationality to use. Other rules, such as travel restrictions, can also depend on nationality.
Yes. The Department of State treaty table lists Türkiye (shown as Turkey) as an E-1 and E-2 treaty country. Sweden is also listed for both.
Government processing times vary by agency, consulate and case type, and they change. We do not promise processing times, but we plan the steps so that documents stay valid and nothing waits on avoidable delays.
Scope varies from matter to matter, so we give a fee quote at consultation. Government filing fees are separate.
Take the first step toward turning your challenges into achievements. We are ready to listen.
